Home-based knitting and sewing volunteers

Bag Books has a dedicated team of home-based volunteers who use their knitting and sewing skills to produce a number of items for our books including the knitted Desmond doll and knitted ice cream in A Day at the Seaside.

If you would like to knit for Bag Books, in the first instance please contact our Workshop Manager, Sophie Baker (sophie@bagbooks.org) who will know what our current needs are.

We get our yarns from www.loveknitting.com

Sample knitting patterns are:

Desmond doll (188KB PDF) We need around 45 of these each year.

The Match jumper (260KB PDF) We need around 40 of these each year.

A Day at the Seaside ice cream (610KB PDF) We need around 85 of these each year.

Anna's Allotment Bake carrots (705KB PDF) We need around 75 of these each year.
